For quite a few years I worked with a re-enacting group demonstrating home textile production in our colonial days. I was lucky enough to collect some lovely pieces of equipment from preparation of the fiber through spinning, knitting and weaving. I no longer have that outlet and have lost interest (blasphemy, I know) in spinning.
Consequently, I wish to sell 9 antique wheels (3 great wheels 2 which have Minors' heads and 6 Saxony wheels), flax working equipment from a PA Dutch break, scutching knife, coarse to fine hackles, and a set of tow cards, and cotton cards. I have modern equipment, hand spindles, a 36" Nilus Leclerc floor loom, a card weaving loom and 2 table looms. I prefer to sell the looms and wheels before the small items. I also have a Minnesota and a Wilson treadle sewing machines.
If interested, please PM me for more info or pictures.

mogal, Oh my! I feel you on that. For the last three years I've been set up as a school to teaching weaving on barn looms and spinning on the antique wheels, especially the great wheels. The first year was great, classes were full and many people enjoyed learning to use the great wheel often bringing their own but able to use those I had acquired for student use. Then Corona Virus. Screeching halt for a year. Now I have decided to close the school - in part because I will be losing my rented space next spring, but also in part because I just want to focus on doing my own work rather than setting up classes. I still have the occasional student but no longer do " classes. " I have at least 20 or so looms of all kinds that need to go and as many if not more spinning wheels. This year I discovered antique and vintage sewing machines and have quickly gathered a collection of those as well. I have a magnificent Minnesota and several Singer and White treadle machines as well as two industrial Singers. I'd love to thin the herd. Kathryn
