Most of my cleaning and organizing efforts have been doing some high priority outdoor things like pulling kudzu out of gardens and deadheading flowers so that they don't all come up right next to the sidewalk next year.
I did get the bathroom and master looking nice. Hauled the garbage yesterday.
I'd like to get a box or two for goodwill ready to be dropped off this week.
How about you? What are you accomplishing? How are you doing it?

Earlier this month, we decided to paint the floor in the utility room part of the basement. The prior owner had a wood burner along with the furnace but the woodburner was no longer functional. We had it removed when we replaced the oversized old dinosaur of a furnace with an ultra high efficiency one a few years back. But it left huge discolorations in the floor, thus explaining our decision to paint the concrete.
We decided that since we'd have to move everything out of that room, we were going to be very picky about what was allowed to return to the room once the floor was painted. Now we'd gone through a lot of stuff (or so we thought) last year but this year we got brutal with the downsizing. A big bag of stuff went to the dump. More was donated after we asked ourselves when the last time we used those items was, and how likely were we to ever use them again. Two sets of shelves went out to the new shed, as did some (but nowhere near all) of the items that had been on those shelves. The items were things that could survive our cold winter in unheated sheds just fine.
Floor was painted, much less stuff was returned to the room and it looks great. We're very happy with the results!

I started really organizing more in 2016 or 17. I put all the medical supplies in bathrooms and bandages in a huge zip lock bag, and bandaids in all sizes in both bathrooms.
For the life of me we can't find the medical supplies, in either bathroom, above the kitchen sink in cabinets, in the pantry, in the file cabinets, in a multitude of labeled boxes, under sinks........no where. If someone is bleeding, well tough cookies. I'm so frustrated. DS came home with burn injuries the other night and we didn't find any of those things.
I found the triple antibiotics, bandaids, honey, but I'm missing that big bag of medical tape, gauze pads and more. Just kill me.

Well now! feather You seem like the type of person that can improvise. Feminine hygiene products work well in place of gauze. They can be held in place with strips of fabric that have been torn from just about any clean pieces found in your supply of rags. (Be sure to tell us what his fellow co-workers have to say regarding his improvised bandages. 😊) There's supposed to be a 'omg you must be kidding' emoticon in there somewhere. I remember what feminine hygiene products are.......back in the old days, when I was younger. But what you say is funny to me. We're at the stage of no incontinence products and no grandbaby diapers so we are out of luck. I do have rags, (who doesn't), and honey, but he came home tonight and they are healing so much better now.
