I don't know really. It takes me 6-8 hours to make cheese no matter how big it is and I don't like the idea of spending so much time for just a little cheese like that. If I can make 8 lbs of cheese curds in the same time I can make 1 lb of cheese curds...why would I do the one pound of cheese curds in a machine like that.
Then you still have to know your recipe, buy your cultures (or kefir/yogurt/buttermilk), and rennet, and have a place to store them for aging.
Maybe for someone in an apartment, without much room. And someone that only wants a lb of cheese at a time. It might work for them.
