To many people are putting dogs on human and vegetarian diets.  But cat owners much less so.

Dogs and cats are not vegetarians. For that matter, they shouldn't be eating commercial foods anyway, as that isn't what nature intended. We feed it for the convenience, just as we feed ourselves convenience foods even though we know they aren't good for us.
