I occasionally look at craigslist in case I find something I didn't know I needed (grin).
I've had goats since 1978 and thought I'd seen or heard all the really cute, clever, funny goat names.
Someone was offering a male kid and extolled his virtues as far as temperament, bloodline, etc., before "introducing" him.
His name was Buck Owens.
DH thought I'd lost my mind because I laughed so hard. Okay, maybe you had to be there...

Our previous buck was super long legged and sort of stately looking - he was King Solomon. Our current buck name is Romeo.

A friend of mine had a Sweet William so she could call him Billy.
My last buck was Picasso (aka Casey) and the current one is Dallas. His breeder named all her bucks that season after NFL teams. Being from MO, I really wanted Chief but ended up with good old Dallas. What a gentle critter he is, even in breeding season. At my age, that gentleness is so important.
Grannyg, I love those names for Christmas babies.

My friend gave me two sheep, older lambs. Twins, a boy and a girl. Carmen, and Santiago (named after a computer game).
I also had three Black Welsh Mountain ewes. Maresie Doats, Doesie Doats, and Little Lambsie Divey. Translates to Mares eat oats, and does eat oats, and little lambs eat Ivy.
My mother used to sing that to the babies... Kid's 'll eat Ivy too. Wouldn't you? (Wooden Ewe).
