Ah man..... Don't you just hate that... You get a galaxy that is only a couple billion years old and find out the thing is bent... Sheesh... Must have been that aurora borealis zapped it once too many times and it comes out like an opera CD that was left on the dash of the car last summer...

if you drop the idea of space-time warping (we know what space and time are, so why mix them together and make the math pointlessly hard ?) and you model things so that matter creates a slower time flow near it, (the math works well with the existing experiments, this makes gravity the side effect of time flowing at different rates from one place to another, and this math makes more things make sense than popular ideas) then things like seeing the galaxy warped the way it is makes way more sense.
