This morning around 5 a.m. still dark the owls were filling the area with the most raucous sound . I am guessing there were several owls and maybe more than one variety. I cannot describe the sounds, there were so many! They were in the woods to the north. The frogs were across the road to the northwest one around the pond. They were about as raucous as the owls and about as varied.
Is this a portent of weather change or something?

We have Great Horned owls here that are half a meter tall or a bit more as they sit on a branch. Rare occasion to see one....
However I suspect that is where one of our red hens went here recently..... I have no reason to have a problem with owls, until something like this happens.. Then I will take care of business as necessary...
