I usually ignore ads in that space at the top of the page. One just popped up with a crooked cuke and 'A bump in your erection may be a serious issue--see your doctor' WHAT??? I was so shocked I hit the 'back' button before I noted what they were advertising. Has anyone else seen this?

I've just been seeing Proboards ads, with the exception of a sort-of Amber alert a few minutes ago about missing children. If that changes to what you've seen, I'll post again.

And then an ad for "Second Life" with a big "Join Now" button illustrated with a lounging woman. I asked DH what it looked like it was advertising. He said "Sex dolls?" Followed on next opening with Proboards ad.
The ad came up again. It is advertising some disease/condition. I did not click on the link:
"LearnaboutPD.com" I still think the illustration was inappropriate for a family site.

I was so shocked I hit the 'back' button before I noted what they were advertising. Has anyone else seen this? Like -- Major ICK!! The ads that show at the top that I see are typically something that I have been doing research on - as in visiting a certain site. Like, for example, I was looking on Jumpsport's site here recently to figure out what fitness trampoline I had ordered a few years ago. Or, chewy.com - I had been on their site recently... Okay, I just went on and off of the site on another tab. Another ad that popped up was for a cruise line, another for Samsung, another one for Century "Stink" as my husband calls them, another for BestBuy, another for E-Trade. Nope, I cannot recall ever seeing one similar to what you have mentioned stickinthemud... ~Mari

That sure is inappropriate.... I haven’t seen anything like that ever here. When I have ads showing, they too are like Mari said, for sites I’ve been browsing on.

There was an ad on TV addressing yeast infections in lady parts. A woman in Yoga pants, and when she went into different yoga poses, there was a sing songgy, la la la la la.
It was removed because people complained it was offensive.
YET there are ads on tv, showing different odd shaped veggies and fruits, talking about 'men's health issues".........
Really? Kinda seems a bit one sided on who's health is worthy of advertising.......

You might have a virus or something. I would try deleting your cookies and restarting your computer.

DH said the same thing. I've been watching You Tube videos of trains and trucks in the snow- somebody's algorithm made a wrong assumption about body parts.

I think "second life" is a role-playing game, comparable to "sim city."

I look past the ads so completely, I didn't know there were any. Now I'm taking a look if I think of it. I've had Staples ads, and ones for charitable-giving sites. I wonder how targeted the ads are, what in the algorithm would send something like what the OP posted, or if it's simply luck: day and time you open the page.

They're targeted. I'm getting a bunch of ads for exercise equipment.
Either that or Melissa knows I need to lose some weight and is giving me hints...😀😀😀

The ads are based on your browser history. WHatever buy or look for on Amazon shows up here...

Just for fun I am seeing what all ads continue to show for me... This is at different times when I am on the "Home" page: TaxAct Assetz Capital Amazon Mkono Jumpsport Microsoft Twinings Wellness Tea Proboards Rainbow International Restoration Diamond Healthcare audible Northeastern University Purdue University Global TCS World Travel Cunard IZOD Best Buy Leer freshpet When I am on the "Recent Updated Posts" page - it is typically Proboards ads but sometimes: Assetz Capital Yepper! Doesn't take much to amuse me... I haven't been on Amazon as of late and none of these ads mean anything to me - except the Jumpsport one. Veddy Intedesting . ~Mari
