I'm looking at purchasing 23 acres with 13 acres being pasture. The pasture has been neglected for a few years and in need of some TLC. There are patches of sweet gum trees from knee high to 6'. I'm planning on using Rememdy Ultra and Grazon as my herbicide.
Besides sweet gum, there is DewBerry and Horsenettle.
i'm getting conflicting ideas on bush hogging first or spray first. What would y'all do?
There are tons of coyotes in the area and not to excited about putting goats on it yet.

I'd bush hog and do the fencing, and let the goats take care of the rest I wouldn't spray at all before giving the goats a chance to work their magic

Spraying ANY herbicide would be my last resort.
If you're planning on goats, don't poison their food source.

If your going to spray do it first you want all the leaf surface possible for the spray to be absorbed. The Remedy label recommends waiting a year before cutting after it was used.
