I am not talking a MLM- I abhor the MLM companies that suggest ingesting EO's- so that being said- does anyone use Essential Oils for anything? I make a cleaning solution- some salves and the like- I was wondering if you do use them- what are your favs? We have a store that I purchase mine from and there is a 25% off sale Saturday and I would like to pick some up- here is what I currently have-
Lemongrass Tea Tree Rosemary.. Anise Oil of Oregano Lemon.. Tangerine Patchouli Lavender.. Peppermint Eucalyptus Camphor
Thanks in advance!!!

You have a nice selection. I'd also suggest:
wintergreen & black pepper in a muscle lotion that also contains eucalyptus (and a couple others but I can't think of them now). I also like using allantoin (sp?), a natural ingredient found in comfrey root. nerolli, I use this by the drop on a hanky for my birthing mothers

MLM? What is that?
I use some essential oils. Never have ingested, mostly use topically. I typically purchase them from Amazon.
Lavender Peppermint Ylang ylang Tea tree Cedar Oregano Frankincense

frankincense in an EO?? I thought it was like a resin.
MLM are multi-level marketing companies, like Young Living & doTerra for essential oils
Ylang-Ylang gives me terrible migranes! I like the scent but ooooooo-boy! does it ever do a number on me!
Cedar! yum

Maybe an EO made from the resin? I like the pine-y sceny and it's been great for skin tags. Ylang ylang I don't particularly enjoy the scent but it was awesome in controling my blood pressure while I was pregnant. Cedar does smell wonderful and scorpions aren't fond of it either.

Maybe an EO made from the resin? I think it has to melted in an alcohol base so more like a tincture than an EO. If you're buying from amazon, you can't be too sure exactly what it is.

Can you explain how to use it on skin tags? I had mine removed years ago but of course there is one that was overlooked. It would be fun to try a different approach. Thanks.

I would love to hear about the use for skin tags as well. I have one in, of all places, my armpit!

I am thinking Clary Sage too-

I don't know if ylang ylang can be used long term or not. Typically my BP runs on the low to normal side...except during pregnancy. Then it is freakishly high. A few drops rubbed into my arches of my feet several times a day kept me off meds and my BP on the high side of normal.
For skintags apply frankincense directly on it 2X a day. I just tipped the bottle to do mine, for dh's I used a qtip to get his. It takes a couple of weeks...they shrivel and shrink and then they are just gone one morning. My friend who mentioned it to me is a bit more daring then I and hers were gone in a matter of days. She put Vaseline around the base of her tags and then used a bandaid to keep a soaked cotton ball on them until they were gone.

If something makes you detox or kills off parasites you may be uncomfortable. So, something that made you sick years ago may not give you a reaction now.
You can ingest citrus and I have used orange e.o. on pork chops and in pudding. E.O. are sometimes used in candy, for instance peppermint.
I have 2 kinds of lavender, lavendin cedar atlas, rose, jasmine, frankincense ylang ylang, lemongrass, ti tree palma rosa, rosewood, patchouli, Egyptian geranium, geranium Bourbon, rosemary, litsea cubeba, carrot seed grapefruit, orange, lemon, ti tree fir needle, pine, bergamot, cajeput,
I use them in soap, and for medicinal purposes.

Frankincense EO healed a small basal cell skin lesion that I had. My doc told me to try it, as the BCC was very small. Also put a drop or two in fractionated coconut oil and apply at night. It helps with aging skin.

I bought my frankincense oil from Native American Nutritionals. There are lots of other companies online that I am researching though.

Star Anise (Illicium verum) is different than Anise seed (Pimpinella anisum) Be sure which of them you have. Star anise is the one in Tamiflu. good catch- I have star anise
