You sure have a fine kit there! It looks like all the tools are ready.. have fun!!
Looking at those little bonsai remind me of the Amano aquariums I admired. They are quite a sight to see.

You've definitely miniaturized it! It looks more proportionate if that's the right word for it! Like a little landscape tree!

shin , I put that kit to use, Bonsai aren't suppose to get all bushing looking, nope they need to be cut and shaped with character, NOT sure if my cutting and training branches is spot on, I butchered it but I like it, I am using the wire to train branch's to grow certain directions.....The moss in pot is deceiving as is makes it look like the tree has to much green towards it's bottom, nope just the moss showing through......Don't be afraid to comment on the butchering job I did Butchering job? I admit to total ignorance of all things bonsai, but to me it looks beautiful. You can see the lovely form the tree takes, and I'm sure that it's going to look even better when it's a few hundred years old, LOL. Just kidding - you did good!!!!

How's that little bonsai doing? Have you been able to keep it alive and neatly trimmed?

Well thanks for asking all, my little tree is ALIVE and doing very well, I do still have branches wired in the direction I want them to grow, really need to figure out how long to keep them wired up? or maybe I will just go right now and un-wire and free them

They are supposed to look windswept, right? By the middle of summer it will look great. I know they have to be watered often, which is probably why they are hard to keep alive. I’d like to see the tree in its next phase.
