This might be a cooking question, but I'll start here. I have a half-dozen pie pumpkins still stored in the back room. They didn't go moldy, they aren't dried up or suspiciously light in weight. The one I opened just now seems normal inside. Anyone have an experience like this? I will probably cook the one, to see if it tastes OK, before I mess with the others. But would you guess they will taste weird?

I think they will be fine. I use all sorts of things for pies!

We had squash in May last year that seemed as fresh as when picked. They were treated with a 10% bleach solution to prevent spoilage. Currently have only one left from last fall. Did keep several pumpkins well into spring one time and they were still good.
