I'm so so sorry bergere... what a little beauty indeed... I've often wondered how you've been doing. It's been a long time since you have posted. Hope to hear more from you in the future... Take care, Mari

Thank you Mari.
My health has not been good sadly, slowly getting worse. I found homes for my remaining Icelandic and miniature horse as I could no longer care for them.

Your welcome bergere, That has got to be so tough. I'm kind of at a loss for words - you'll be in my prayers for sure... I just have to ask - are you still raising chickens?

Such a sweet looking horse. I am sorry for your loss. I am sure she was happiest with you.
Also wishing you the best with your health problems. It is very hard to give up the animals you love and to have to change your life style.

Thank you Mari. Had to stop raising my Belgian d'Anvers and d'Uccles, sold them all. I only have a few big hens now, as I sold over half a few months ago. Kept a couple of my Indian Fantail pigeons, as they are very little work.
DH put an automatic door up for the main hen house, so I do not have to worry about letting them our or shutting them in at night. He will put one up for the pigeons this weekend.
Thank you Dustawaits. Is really hard, a major change. Have always had horses.... sigh ~~ but needs must.

I add my condolences and sadness. The loss of any animal is sad, the loss of those ultra-special ones leave a hole in our hearts. She was blessed to be with you and you were blessed by her. There really can be no better relationship.

Thank you so very much everyone.
I remember her last sniffle nose kiss she always gave me and try to focus on that. Will take awhile to stop expecting to see her around the next corner.
((hugs)))

Praying for you bergere, the sadness from losing your special horse friend & now a hole in your heart! My SIL was diagnosed with a hole in her heart, when she was in her 50’s...Cardiologist said she was born with it. Hoping & praying this health problem is an easy fix and you’ll feel better soon. Keep your faith strong🙏🏻

Thank you Connor, WP and CM 22. (((hugs)))
Sorry your SIL has one too, WP. I hope she is doing ok !! The Cardiologist said I most likely had it from childhood. Makes me wonder, if I have had it for so long, why is it causing sooo many issues now?
Wish the Doctors would hurry up and figure out all the health issues I am having.
When it rains it pours... sigh ~~
Loosing Maggie and rehoming my two remaining horses, still hasn't quite sunk in yet. Can't remember a time when I wasn't around, riding, working with or owning horses. Going to be a big change.

Sometimes I’ve found bergere, you have to be the “ squeaky wheel” when the doctors don’t give you an explanation and plan for your illness. If they know there’s a hole in your heart and don’t direct you to Cardiologist...call one yourself! My SIL is doing well...she’s in her 70’s now. She does have a slower pace than she used to, but is going strong. Praying you will too🙏🏻

Thank you SG.
The Cardiologist I have now, has been pretty good. (unlike the one before him) I see a cardiology electrophysiologist later today. They are implanting a 3 year, real time heart monitor, over my heart. Also learn I have a atrial septum aneurysm, on top of having a hole in the upper chambers. Guess that is why they are moving pretty fast.
Other specialists.. can take many, many months to get an appointment.
Glad your sister is doing well WP !

I so sorry to hear about your health problems, Bergere. One of our friends had a stroke 6 months ago and since he is otherwise healthy and relatively young, they really tried to find a cause. He had a hole in his heart, that had been there since childhood. They did a surgical repair and he feels so much better. He said he didn't realize how bad he felt until he felt good. I hope you can have the same result!

Thank you Molly.
Very glad he got the help he needed!!!
The new Cardiologist is great but they are going to wait and see with the hole in my heart. Have no idea why? They have me on Corlandor now to help keep the high pulse down and Compression stockings to keep me from passing out when I stand up. Though the both said, I have a very high risk of stroke. They said I need an MRI of my brain to make sure I do not have one ready to go but then they said, oh the one done 4 years ago is good enough. Like What? How can an MRI done 4 years ago, tell them what is going on right now?
Had no idea a person could keep going with so many things wrong. sigh ~~
Missing Maggie a lot and the other horses but I am glad they are no longer here, would not be able to care for them. sigh ~~ Still have a couple of sheep, few goats, few chickens and Fantails.
