Have 2 new hives that are 2 med supers, lots of honey and packed full. BUT it's almost August and in Colorado it could be cooling off soon. Advice?

I typed out a response to this questions a few days ago - don't know what happened to it...
Adding supers this late is location-dependent. Here in the Midwest we typically have a fall nectar flow of goldenrod, asters and other late season blooms.
I'd probably add the supers, and see if they do anything with them or not. You can remove them if they don't do anything.
