Baking rant ahead.
The last two weeks have humbled me with baking "cookies" for church bake sales. 😂😬🤣☹️ And driven me to ▶️ 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
Who thought up the torture of gingerbread men/holly leaves/snowmen requiring all the decoration? Who thought up all the tiny, putzy, sweet, decadent 500-step recipes people want to eat at the holidays?
I can make the best of yeast breads and rolls and cakes and pies. No problem and they are FUN. But my pointer finger is numb from putting on the frosting dots, my hands are a total shaking mess from putting all the candy glitter and colored sprinkles and white stars and gold balls on the gingerbread cookies. Last week with miniature cupcakes that are impossible to frost without making a total mess. And miniature bars that need a decoration.
On other hand, I made a great new Internet recipe for "chocolate chip fresh cranberry cookies" that is to die for. Super soft, gooey, sweet and tart all at the same time. Now that's my kind of cookie. You mix it and you put it on a pan and it tastes good! Ok rant over...

I feel your pain. I don't make cookies that need decoration. Once they are out of the oven and cooled, they are done. I don't get complaints. I normally back oatmeal/chocolate chip/cherry or cranberry cookies, and shortbread (cut into stars and hearts. I have in the past made gingerbread people, but without decoration (for some reason they always get eaten anyway).
Solargeek. Take a break. Have a cookie.

How dare you leave us hanging WITHOUT A LINK to the recipe for those “chocolate chip fresh cranberry cookies” that are to die for! 🤦♀️ 🥣🍪🍷🎄 Don’t be a Grinch! Please, share. So sorry I did the rant on my phone and didn't have the link. Here it is. I am going to try it next time with 1/2 oatmeal. But I didn't this time and I want to eat the whole batch. This is the original link but she was so long winded I copied and pasted the recipe portions so I would have it all on one page. simplytaralynn.com/2015/11/18/cranberry-chocolate-chip-cookies/My copy of the recipe "FRESH CRANBERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 38 COOKIES INGREDIENTS: • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda • 1 stick unsalted butter • 1/2 cup sugar • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1 egg • 1 teaspoon vanilla (1 teaspoon) • 1 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chip • 1 cup chopped fresh cranberries 1. Sift the flour and baking soda together and set aside in a separate bowl. 2. In an electric mixture, beat the butter until creamy yellow. 3. Add in the sugar, brown sugar, and salt and mix. 4. Mix the egg and vanilla in lightly. 5. Scoop the flour mixture into the wet ingredients gradually (you don’t want it flying everywhere). 6. With a spoon, stir in the cranberries and the chocolate chips. 7. Scoop tablespoon size dough balls onto a baking sheet two inches apart. 8. Bake for approximately 12 minutes. The edges should be slightly brown and the middles will still be soft.
You can also make the cookie dough ahead of time and freeze it. If you have a lot of Thanksgiving recipes going on, it may be smart to do this in advance. I keep frozen cookie dough in the freezer all the time."
MY Alterations to recipe: Also, I used 1 stick plus 2 T of butter as I love my cookies runny even when well cooked. And They took almost 4-5 minutes longer than the 12 minutes stated in the recipe

How in the world can you say toooo many cookies! ! Didn't know there was such a thing. I do miss that at Christmas time. Daughter in law bakes some for me and neighbor lady out on the farm is always giving me my favorite, peanut butter cookies. Take my hat off to you ladies doing all the baking.

Your cookies sound wonderful and just think of all the smiles you brought to so many faces.
Cranberries, as little as 2 oz, have all the iodine anyone needs in a day. News to me. (also potato/w skin, navy beans, sea vegetables) So those wonderful chocolate cranberry cookies, yum, iodine, and chocolate has lots of anti-oxidants. Less guilt, more yum.
