WE both can't fix anything mechanical. Cars for instance.
DH goes out to start my car, to make sure the battery works, and it won't start. He pops the hood. The hood won't open. He comes back in the house and whines.
So I go out there, and have him re-pop the hood, I bang on the hood loudly (see my dad was a mechanic and he did a lot of violence shouting and yelling, so I figure it must mean something).
I open the hood. I LOOKED at the motor. (dad was a mechanic and he always felt that he could LOOK at things, so I did, I LOOKED) "let me look at that"
DH started the car.
That's how things get fixed around here.
Apparently that shtuff works.

Cabin Fever, OH, you're the kind of mechanic that wants things to work the next time you use the machine. Yeah, I'm more like the shtuff kind of mechanic. Excellent idea.

Every once in a while just take some WD-40 to all moving parts and carry duct tape with you. That's generally all you need... lol
