It was -24ºF (actual temp) on my drive into work this morning. The forecast is for a minimum of 12" of snow over Friday and Saturday. We already have 2 feet of snow on the ground from previous snowfalls.

42 now, 50 mph winds, going down to 30... 2 to 3 inches snow to start Saturday afternoon. Last Saturday it was close to 70. This is upside down weather🙃

We already have 2 feet of snow on the ground from previous snowfalls. It was only -2F this morning when we hit the road, but the wind was gusty so it felt colder. Last I heard we were getting 6" or so from the storm you mention, but it could well be more depending on if we get winds off Lake Superior. We love winter - we wouldn't live here if we didn't - and this weekend is the World Championship Snowmobile Derby up here. Cold and snow doesn't bother us; it would be worse for the derby if it was warm and we had no snow. I guess by my response no one would be surprised that we're both XC skiers and my husband used to race snowmobiles in his mis-spent youth. Snow? Bring. It. On.

Susannah, you must be near Eagle River. Back in the late 90's I helped my cousin with his dog teams. They had a big oval race back then, also a pulling contest. I watched a 80# female husky win the pulling contest, 2200# moved 15' if I remember correctly. I tried go pull that same sledge, couldn't do it. I was such a wimp back then.

Are you talking about Klondike Days, when you mention the dog pull? I miss Klondike Days. I was so sorry to see it end. Has it really been 5 years already? Shoot, I'm getting old...

No wind, but 20 in the morning, felt like -2 and it made for a nippy walk this morning. Tomorrow 3”-6” snow, changing to sleet, very cold...black ice weather. Strange days indeed 🎶

Spent 3 hours today snowblowing and shoveling the driveway and buildings. Lotsa snow and this wasn't even a blizzard. But warm weather will eventually arrive. In the meantime we can reflect and dream on better days. m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhk7cjjLVXI

2°F this morning; expecting 5" of snow over 2 days, starting tomorrow. Looks like the local schools will probably use up their quota of snow days this year...
