My tomato & pepper seeds are set to arrive Monday. Is there anything I could use for a grow light besides the real thing? We won't plant until June so they will probably be okay without anything. Thanks!

Thanks! I use shop lights with kitchen white (brightest) floresent bulbs. I have done this for 10+ years. I also have an electric blanket on the table (covered with a plastic table cloth so moisture does not touch the blanket). Keeps my soil warm.

I use a mix of cheap (they used to be) "under the counter" lights that are of course not hardwired. I have my big red wagon from Tractor supply set up with 4 flourescent lights over the top and 4 standard large seed trays under them. Then I use Home Depot shelving and hang the other lights, 2 to a shelf. They are 4' long and all LEDs. I use velcro to hang the shelf ones and a rolly stainless steel cart (from HD) on which I can also fit 4 trays and use 2 lights (LED) again hung with velcro. I leave the velcro on year to year.

Laura, I'm wondering if you finally found a use for that pool table.

It's an 8 foot folding table!! I store it upright in the garage off season.
