DH and I are adding meat rabbits to our farm. We already have Icelandic sheep and chickens. DH raised rabbits 55 years ago when he was a teenager so this may well have a steep learning curve.
we have now gotten 5 cages from various friends. Our rabbits will be coming around the end of July. So we are starting to do a remodel (small) of our barn and build an open shelter with a feeder for our sheep outside the barn. My next to do item is to order a book on raising rabbits. There is lots of info online and I have joined a backyard rabbit group online, but I do like to have a resource in print. Anyone have recommendations?

Our rabbits have been here about ten days. They like lettuce leaves and carrots. Not very fond of kale or zucchini. I gave each one a pine cone today to play with.

That's interesting to see what their food preferences are. What did they do with the pinecones?
