We just recently got into raising meat rabbits again. A few years ago we raised checkered giants, flemish, & new zealand. I didn't like the bigger breeds, since they took so long to be of breeding age, & the meat to bone ratio wasn't great. This time we have new zealand, new zealand/ flemish cross, harliquin, American chinchilla, and American blue. So far, I really like what we have!

I'm partial to Californians and NZ for meat rabbits. I don't like the giant breeds like Flemish and Checkered Giants, as they do have too much bone for the meat you get. Great for pets, but not the best conversion rate for meat. I also really like Palominos and Satins.
