I have a few hundred yards of fence I need to remove and hopefully salvage the barbwire and fence stays. Does anyone have a easy way to remove the fence stays without using bolt cutters?

Greyghost: Mine were usually bent and rusted from years of service. I would straighten them as best I could, then put a screwdriver thru the top loop and just twist them off as the fellow is doing on the video. The old rusty ones were slow and tedious, but they will unscrew just as the screw on.

Someone said to use WD40 to get them to be easier to twist.

I have used a small eye bolt opened up or J hook in a drill before I found the fancy tool....James

Bolt cutters, throw them in the metal scrape and rejoice when they are all gone, just my opinion.

A universal socket available under the brand name Gatorgrip would do the same thing
