One of my goats developed and abscess that ooened before I saw it. A worry. But then she developed another one about 8 inches away.
The vet came out to aspirate some if the pus on the new one and culture it. It looks totally negative for anything.
I'm very glad that no CL showed up. The vet says that 'sterile' abscesses are not uncommon at injection sites.

What a relief! Any time I saw an abscess on a goat, I worried until I got it cultured and it came back all clear.

Always a relief to hear negative on something like this It is. One of my first two goats had CL. It was lucky I took real strict precautions when the very first abscess came. And it never spread to my other goats. I don't want to go through that again.
