Finally after owning our property for 4 1/2 years, we have met with the architect/engineer and have made the plans for our house. It will be about 1500 square feet. We want to have a walkout basement, but due to wet ground near the building site, we will have to see after the building site is checked and the perk test is also done. I am getting excited. The kitchen we have in our house now is very tiny. I can't wait for a decent size kitchen with a walk in pantry. It will be an open floor plan with 2 bedroom and an office/sewing room for me. If the walkout basement happens DH will have his "man cave". DH already built his pole barn pretty much by himself. DH and our two sons will be building the house. I will provide food and help as needed. The property is a little over 17 acres so we will have plenty of room to garden, have animals eventually and let the grandkids have fun. There is a lot of wild life around the property. A very nice learning experience for everyone.
