Who's ready to do another Forum Quilt? I have some really cute fabric chosen by used2bcool13 (the winner of quilt #2) for us to sew with this time around. Lots of color options with this forum fabric, I think everyone will like it.
All forum members are welcome to join in, whether you are new at sewing or have many years of experience. There is no judging; rather just the opposite--lots of support, encouragement and advice.
Here's the "rules":
To each person who signs up, I will send a 12" square of fabric. Using that fabric, and any other fabrics you like, you will sew a quilt block of any pattern you desire, as long as it finishes at 12.5 inches square. Please wash and dry all fabrics you use (forum fabric has all ready been prewashed), but please do not use fabric softener.
Mail your block back to me by May 31st to be eligible for the drawing. Please make sure to put enough postage on it, and allow up to ten days for delivery (yes, sometimes it does take that long, USPS only knows why. . . ) For each block received by the deadline, I will enter the name of the member who created it into the drawing, and then draw a winner at random after the mail goes through on May 31st. The winning name will be posted on this thread that evening.
The person whose name is drawn at random will receive all the blocks. The winner is responsible for supplying (either purchase or use stash fabric) four yards of fabric for the next forum quilt and must mail me that fabric. Once the new fabric has been received, I will send the winner the blocks they won, plus an extra yard of the forum fabric to use in finishing their quilt.
That's all there is to it!
Reply to this thread to sign up, and then send me a PM with your current mailing address. Even if you've participated in previous forum quilts, please send me a PM with your addy as my computer is off and on glitchy; I can access the forum via my phone, but I cannot retrieve my saved previous quilt addy lists that way.
Those who want to make a block but do not want to be included in the drawing are also welcome. The more blocks made, the more fun it is for the winner to receive.
