I have to take Tess to the vet this afternoon so got the trailer hitched and prepped this morning. I'm a bit out of practice hitching as I don't travel as much as I used to. But I did ok( about 3 runs to get it centered ) but then ran into a hitch in the hitching.
I had loaned the trailer out a couple of months ago. The person returned it superclean inside and out and I told that she could borrow it anytime if it came back so much cleaner than it left.
Apparently though the plug got dropped into mud as the pin holes were packed with dirt. Well, that is why I hitched early. So I could have time to deal with issues. I get a tool and reamed out the dirt. I wish I had a tiny grush to to it throughly but I don't.
I checked the electrical connections and they seem ok except that the left turn signal generates a very faint signal in the right signal when it is activated. A little short somewhere. I'm going to have to worry about it later and hope for the best. Everything else seems ok. Lack of perfection when hauling makes me nervous though.

Best of hauling wishes to you! I also dislike hauling if there are any issues, especially wiring ones. Very frustrating. Hope Tess is ok.

The trailer we borrow a lot for some reason won't do the left hand turn, it will if you push it right in and hold it, but not very practical when driving! We know it's the trailer as it does it on other cars too.. I have to say I don't like it much either, and right now I need to go buy a new hedlight bulb, not even looking forward to driving to the shop to buy one! (it's a legal requirement to have them on all the time)

Trip went fine but am still trying to hire someone for the trip to Davis for tooth removal. You'd think I could find someone.
