Hisser the cat has scratched a wound about 1" x 3/8" on the side of his face above the jaw. I've been dealing with fleas that just won't all get gone, so I'll guess he had a bite there The wound is clean, no infection, general health and appetite are unchanged, so it's really not bothering him, except that he keeps scratching it open. He's due for a vet check-up in a few weeks. Getting an appointment sooner could mean a $$ emergency-visit fee. Is there something I could use topically that might slow down him scratching at that? Thanks.
