Scientists at NASA ranked last year as the second-warmest year since reliable record-keeping began in 1880, trailing only 2016. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which uses a different analytical method, ranked it third, behind 2016 and 2015. (137 years of records represents less than 1 percent of the time since the most recent ice age). Temperatures have increased more than 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) since 1880. In order to avoid the worst consequences of climate change, scientists say global temperatures must not increase more than 2 degrees Celsius. (Article doesn't say what the worst consequences are. Leaves that to your imagination based on the disaster films you've watched). linkWe need not spend hundreds of billions of dollars studying and discussing global warming. We need not constantly fly groups of people back and forth across the planet to solve the problem. Just stop replacing woods and forests with cities. Just reduce the increase of carbon energy addicted humans on the planet. Pick whatever time span you want, and more people are going to be murdered in inner cities than are going to die from global warming. Liberals just sit by and ignore the slaughter and focus on the ghost hiding in the closet.

Earlier this week, a cold snap sent temperatures in Russia's Yakutia region plunging toward record lows, with reports as extreme as minus-88 degrees Fahrenheit. The village recorded an all-time low of minus-98 degrees in 2013. link
