Yesterday I was in Tractor Supply to check out things for my new puppy. Again, I heard the peeping, and again I saw the baby chicks. Something is wrong with me and I thought, logically, that if I got a few chicks today, then my new puppy (papillon, a spaniel) and the chicks could acclimate to each other and accept one another. I got four. They are in the garage, which has a heated floor. They are 3 weeks old, so a little easier to care for than three day olds.
So, I spent 8 hours going to the breeder and coming back. But, I did not get the puppy. But, I still have the chicks.
I still have my Boston terrier foster dog. No, I will not try to bond him to the chicks. He stays upstairs, chicks stay down in the garage.

Look at it this way ... fewer puddles to clean up with the chicks!

Lol! I love seeing the chicks in TSC and a few other local feed stores. I have so many birds right now that I’m not tempted to buy more, but they sure are fun to look at!

I'm always tempted, but this year I just don't have the room to grow them out or the time to mess with them.
But I'm already planning for some new chicks next spring!
