A city in Oman just posted the world’s hottest low temperature ever recorded: 109 degrees. www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/a-city-in-oman-just-posted-the-world’s-hottest-low-temperature-ever-recorded-109-degrees/ar-AAzgjCq?ocid=spartandhpWhy? Is it part of the constant climate change that has been going on for the last 4 billion years? Is it due too many people using too much fossils fuels? Are concentrated cities with all their concrete, steel, glass, asphalt, air conditioning and transportation becoming heat anomalies? Is it the replacing of woods, forests and fields with suburbs and shopping strips and the fossil fuel addicts that live and work in them? How do we reduce fossil fuel use when population increases? As I get older, every year I eat less and less and also eat more healthy. But because my metabolism and stamina are not what they use to be, I keep gaining weight.

The world does seem to be heating up. There are probably a combination of reasons. We have to figure out ways to adapt.

We reduce fossil fuel by using wind and solar and by using the fossil fuel more efficiently.
As for weight gain, I have the same problem. Loose one pound, gain two.
Recently I saw two PBS shows on health. One was aging without cancer and said we should eat plant based protein (vegetarian).
The other was on loosing belly fat. Look up the 10 day belly fat diet. This doctor said to regain control of your digestive system. Eat healthy, but also be sure to be getting collagen. You can get this from making bone broth (8 hour simmer) but you can also buy collagen (Great Lakes collagen is the brand). Also, eat fermented food. Real sauerkraut, kefir, kumchi.
I have been doing this and lost 8 pounds in three weeks, gained a couple back because I indulged, now loosing it again. I find I am eating less, which I am sure helps, but very happy I am keeping it off.
