We have a cat who has ear mites but DH is afraid to treat with OTC stuff since she has nursing kittens... Can anyone help me? TIA, Mari

Any oil put in the ears daily should work. At least I always used olive oil on my rabbits and it worked fine. Do it once or twice a day for probably two weeks. How do you apply it? Q-tips, cottonballs, drips? How far in the ear do you go? I'm afraid to go too deep for fear of causing damage... I REALLY appreciate you responding so quickly! TIA, Mari

We just use olive or mineral oil. With the cat, it's easier to load a syringe and give a quick shot into each ear. We only do it once a day for 3 or 4 days.
