I figure flowers had a significant role in Jesus’ last days. It seems that there would be spring flowers along the road between Bethany and Jerusalem, , flowers on the slopes of Mt Olivet, flowers in Gethsemane, and even flowers on Calvary. I think those flowers gave Jesus both encouragement and a sense of peace.
I believe God made spring for His son's resurrection. It just wouldn't be Easter without blooms.
