I'm thinking about adding Milorganite and bone meal to the potato beds now. Pros and cons. I'm thinking about going back to the Ruth Stout way of mulching. I did half the rows this way this year and had great success. Usually the slugs overwhelm the garden when done this way in the past. But this year after every rain I sprinlkled a combination of Milorganite and blood meal on everything to keep the deer at bay. Later I added Sluggo to the mix and very little slug problems as a result. I'm trying to find a very l Iow maintenance to garden. Springs and summers are way to busy to be weeding, and hilling. Any thoughts?
