They looked useful, but the leaf claws I bought, those ones that look like green dinosaur feet, hurt my wrists. Is there a way to use them that isn't painful? Is there a better design? Thanks.

I am no help. We just rake the leaves onto a tarp and then drag the tarp over to our leaf compost pile where they are deposited. If you are stuffing leaves into bags for street-side collection, the leaf tarp below might be helpful for filling the bags.

No way are my leaves going to the street . Though as an fyi, in NYS, if you want leaves removed, you put them, loose, at the curb for collecting by the town crew. Each town must have a drop-off place where stuff is composted. I don't have a fancy thing like that one pictured, Cabin Fever. I have a couple old shower curtains that work just fine, though.

So, attach two opposite sides of the shower curtains to a couple of 2x2's, rake the leaves onto the shower curtain, then pick up the curtain using the wood sides and move or pour the leaves wherever you want them to go. No need for dinosaur claws.

Well, yes, I could do that. Not going to, though. Old dollar-store curtain liners that I keep around to cover things outside, use as drop-cloths and so on. They wouldn't hold up to being attached to boards for long. And I already have the claws. I was hoping someone might have had more luck with them than I, or my difficulties be confirmed, so I just go hand them off.
