Started my seedling on March 3, all 6 cauliflower came up and are couple inches tall, started 11 seeds of early girl and are starting to come out. Bigger boy and better boy are a no show and of course pepper is taking their time. .between the seedings and 12 new trees the utility room is full. . I'm still working on greenhouse, , biggest hurdle now is no heat yet and lows close to 30 at night

I'm waiting on my peppers, three kinds. They always take so long, they worry me, that we might have to start again with new seeds in a week, and we don't want to lose a week in preparing due to bad seeds. How are you doing wally? Are you going to share pictures? (yes I know, stop asking for pictures, lol)

Feather, patience is required for peppers as you know, we also have 3 kinds started, sweet green, jalapeno Anaheim. All three are supposed to germinate in 10 to 12 days, today is day ten on all of them. Have 3 kinds of tomatoes and all are starting to show, . I would share picture but never have as I don't know how. Yes I could learn but,

I'm thinking of just buying peppers because by the time they come up (if I plant now) It will take so long for them to get big enough to produce and then frost is upon us.
My lettuce, rocket, spinach are up and doing well in my winter sowing jugs, but kale and cabbage are spotty and not looking great. Today I started Chinese Cabbage beet cantelope Hale's best watermelon Crimson red Radish gourmet Parsley Italian Delphinium Pacific Giant Alyssum
It's early for the cantelope and watermelon but I hope to put them next to a retaining wall.
Since a good experience mixing soil from the woods (very fertile) with my crappy potting soil, I did the same plus added coffee grounds and old dirt from previous year's pots. I pour boiling water over any soil to get rid of weeds and fungus. Need to remember to sprinkle cinnamon on them to also reduce any fungal infections. Damping off was always my nemesis when starting seeds (before winter seed sowing).
Hope to hear what others are doing.

I'm going to start a few things today. We are supposed to get snow next week, so everything I start will be in the high tunnel. I'm fearful of being laid off, so I'm not sure I want to spend the money to heat the high tunnel...

Peppers germinate well when using a heating pad set on low. It takes about a week. I turn the heating pad off at night. I started Big Dipper and Orange Sun.

I haven't done a tally on mine yet, (I listed my indoor seeds) we are too early here, (WI compared to TN) though I must say my mustard seeds grew and they are at least half filling my jugs outside. I've seen our asparagus sprouts too, which is very fun for us because we are expanding our asparagus bed this year. Our world is a wonder.
