Portable burners, not too big: nchfp.uga.edu/publications/nchfp/factsheets/canning_portable.htmlMany people use gas stoves. Presto was said to be the only one that will work for glass stove tops. The full height of an AA 941 is 19 inches, there needs to be clearance above that so the lid can come off and the jars can be removed. Not everyone has room between the stove and the range hood/built in microwave to do that. AA is the best. I don't have one.

The AA 941 is about the only one we do not have in our collection canners..
If we had one and the need for one, I would look at using a burner and base for a turkey fryer to run it with..
Like said, that brings up where to have the room to use a 941... For us that would likely be the car port on our small shop.. This to have room, and be out of any wind and ease to monitor during the cycle..
If you have the product to process and need for a canner that size.. It certainly can be done.. and worth the effort to use..
