Hi Everyone, My wife and I bought my grandparents church and with 5 acres of land. We are renovating and restoring it into our retirement home and homestead. **We tried to attach a few pictures but couldn’t (hoping someone can help). I will retire from my career as a high school teacher and vice principal in just 2 years and my wife retires from her career in healthcare in 6 years. We have started the process of restoring and have completed a new roof, siding, windows and a Mother In-Law door....lol We are hoping to get lots of advice, suggestions and guidance from fellow homesteaders, especially when we start clearing and cultivating land, getting chickens, pigs and a few other animals. We have started a YouTube Channel as well, to document our restoration and homesteading journey and YOU ARE ALL welcome to join us. We have posted lots of pictures and videos on our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE and comment with lots of great suggestions please. Here’s the link: youtube.com/channel/UC523XQ1EmRZi2s3i70ImJewGarry and Betty Leyte Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador Canada

That should be fun to watch your journey. I definitely will tune in on the days I can't get around a whole bunch.

There are a couple of churches nearby that have been redone to live in. One was turned into a store. You'll have nice high ceilings. Our church and rectory was built 1962. It was sold, along with 20 acres just recently.

Not long ago a fellow bought an old church in a town near to us. He turned the church in a bed and breakfast with a medieval Viking theme. steinarr.com/viking-inn
