I haven't heard a word yet about my unit officially. I have used it every day for 10 years so I guess I've been affected.

If indeed the early warnings are correct, the potential illnesses are horrific (if they are accurate). You need to call your doctor/provider. I called my doctor to make the appointment to be issued a new one that is not Phillips. If my company that provided the machine, nationwide known as AeroCare, Had not called me for another reason I would never have known either. You need to be proactive at this point. It is unbelievable this has not hit the main stream news. They are trying to prevent lawsuits but with millions of CPAP and Vents at issue this is a major thing.

I registered my unit online at the company website but haven't heard a word back yet. My serial number is included in the bad ones.

gayle , momo , I visited my ENT who issued the 1st and 2nd CPAP and their offices and all they know of are still completely in the dark. They have been given NO instructions (and he is with one of the great big national doctor groups) other than to tell us about the recall and to "wait".
I needed some fixing of the unit (Couldn't turn of myself the heated tubing and the heated humidifier -safer for no off-gassing of the polyurethane foam) and chatted with 3 of the staff who are just livid that this started apparently MONTHs ago and still no guidance.
Hang on as we are in for a bumpy ride.

Havent heard a peep of this. Both DH and I are on c-pap, as are my parents..... Fun....

UPDATE: I received a letter from Phillips Respironics stating the basic truths, not admitting liability AND WITH NO PLAN ON HOW TO MOVE FORWARD. They are trying to shove it off on So-Clean, an ozone type of cleaner for the machines and are still 'investigating'.
Make sure you all have registered your machine as those will get noticed and you will get the same letter. Hopefully it is also part of the process to fix or replace our units.
