Going down! Our local Lowes was up to $10. Brady said this is the first year since he started his construction business that he has not bought big loads of lumber. He has been pouring a lot of concrete though since concrete prices have remained stable. Normally he is at Lowes almost daily buying lumber.

Most metal studs are made from sheet steel that is cold-formed into shapes and sizes that are similar to what builders are accustomed to in dimensional lumber
The rise in global steel prices is linked to China, a crucial supplier and consumer of commodities. Beijing’s move to limit capacity fuelled worries about a supply shortage and prompted speculative buying. It is expected that the Chinese demand will soften in the third quarter of the calendar year (CY21) owing to seasonal factors and regulatory action.
