Full day of moving snow. Received about 18” over night. The warmer temperatures made the snow much heavier to move. cleaned my driveway first the started on all the neighbors, then moved onto our short county road. The county plow never showed up or even on the one that ours intersects with. Next was to shovel off the deck and back walkway. After that moved on to shoveling the walkway to the shop and woodshed. Tonight dugout the roof rake. Need to get some of the snow off the lower edges of the roofs. Plugged in what heat tapes there are in the rain gutters, should have more of them. Too icy to work on to pull snow off the roof tonight. Temperature to rise above freezing tomorrow so will tackle that job then. Need to get firewood up and then call it a night. Major highways over the mountains to the west side of the state are closed till Saturday.

I was able to sweep the snow off the walkways and porches. It looked like a lot more snow than it was, probably 4”. Most of what I swept was under our large maple trees and the snow was on the trees. Son got home from plowing at 2:00pm 14 hours of plowing and said in the early morning at the Village Hall snow measured 9”. I can only assume the other 5” are on the trees on our yard.
I don’t normally “sweep” snow ❄️ but had to try because of my shoulder pain and it worked and no pain. I just couldn’t leave it for my son after working so many hours plowing. I did get in a bit of trouble though🤭

When DH shovels snow he uses the shovel to push the snow ahead of him, then tips it so the snow falls off. He can push snow much longer than shovel (pick up, lift, toss) and he isn't sore for days.
