My latest Penn State Ag Alumni magazine included an article about this new (2013) site: plantvillage.com. It was started by a couple of Penn State ag faculty members. It does sound almost too good to be true, but what I have seen looks interesting. "Plant Village is built on the premise that all the knowledge that helps people grow food should be openly accessible to anyone on the planet. Plant Village is a user moderated Q & A forum dedicated to the goal of helping people grow their own food. It is an open freely available resource that helps you solve all your plant related questions."
Apparently the site is currently funded by a grant which explains why there is no advertising (yet?)

Just checked out the site.
Really good in depth essay on each plant listed with lots of pictures. And the issues each plant has. Looks to be a reference site I'll be using, especially if I have an an ailing plant.
Lots of Q & A. Not sure I'd go through all the questions to find what I needed though.
