Tornado warnings all over our state of Wisconsin!
Weather man says “Things are really ramping up now”!
Still heading closer to us … rather than AWAY from us … 😵💫🥺
One tornado was visually spotted as it crossed the Mississippi coming into Wisconsin …. Over Menomonie, WI right now. Another 60 miles to our town …….
Edit …. We ended up with a good noisy thunderstorm but the funnel clouds had wore themselves out before reaching us. There were a couple touch downs further west of us. We have lots of tree damage in our woods from the December tornado that hit 7 miles from us. I’m convinced that we must have had a smaller funnel go through our woods. Trees are twisted and laying every which way. Those trees were all 80 - 100 feet tall. Quite a mess in our woods and now that DH is OLD, HE’s not too handy anymore with the chain saw.

They say tornadoes are moving more to the north and east than they used to. We had not had any tornadoes in our area for decades and the last few years we had several smaller ones. The hills do tend to break them up around here.

We had a tornado warning last week. The rotation that radar saw was only a mile or so from our place. Thank God it stayed up and did not touch down. We’ve had several close ones over the years.

"In an average year, 800 tornadoes are reported nationwide, resulting in 80 deaths and 1500 injuries" "The number of civil aviation deaths decreased from 452 in 2019 to 349 in 2020." "According to US car accident statistics, about 100 people die on America's roads every day." The thing you are least likely to survive this year are trips to Dollar General.
