My sister thinks she wants to get one of these...does anyone have any recommendations? To be honest, I've never even heard of them. Thanks!

I have a monster German made “Weck” — works great and big loads. But now just 2 of us.
Really never much use it now as I have 2 Nesco/Carey electric canners and they steam bath wonderfully but only 4 quarts or 5 pints per load. Love these the most!!

About 3 or so years ago I looked into getting a shallow pan, high lid steam canner for Sweetie.. She being the well seasoned, master class canner she is we researched it but never got one.. We may look into this again soon.. Like the one in the first link would be good.. Stainless steel is always worth the extra money.. www.healthycanning.com/steam-canningwww.simplycanning.com/steam-canner/#styles+++ +++ Not to highjack the topic, however.. What Sweetie did research and we purchased was a Carey brand counter top pressure canner.. It is all push button easy to use, and does a good job and is handy to put up small batches of product as we make a score on something while grocery shopping.. It is also handy to use while using the 2 All American 921 canners on the stove top for larger projects.. Do your research, as at one time not all counter top appliances similar to this were safe to use for dedicated, long cycle pressure canning.. I don't know if this is still true today..
