They are dropping fast around here. Many people seem to be taking their homes off the market. Of course, the rising interest rates aren't helping.

When the "Great Recession" hit back in 2007 or 2008 I had noticed that a very desirable neighborhood I passed thru regularly had three houses displaying "for sale" signs. I figured that would be a sign for future reference. Last week I drove thru a similar neighborhood on the other side of town. Three houses within a half mile "For Sale", although one may have had an "under contract" hanger.

One in 5 sellers in August dropped their asking price, according to Realtor.com. A year ago that share was just 11%.
