My son when outside earlier today and came running inside yelling that something got some of our chickens. I asked how many and he said he didn't know, all he could see were white feathers. Although I was slightly concerned, I noticed that my Leghorns are well into their yearly molt. To be on the safe side, I did go out and do a head count, but everyone was present. In his defence, there were so many feathers on the grass that it looked like it had snowed!
When I came in, my son asked if the hawk had gotten the rooster. He was super disappointed when I said no. He definitely has a hate/hate relationship with that rooster!

I'm seeing more feathers, too, but hardly enough to think something got one. Maybe they all blew into the woods. Glad your birds are safe.
