Last Tuesday, Dec. 27, our high was +5o. I don't remember the wind chill. Yesterday we broke a record for the date, Dec. 29, with a high of 73o. Last night on our local weather, the WX guy commented that between Tuesday's wind chill and yesterday's high, we had nearly 100 degrees of difference.
I actually left the back door open while I was canning some apples we bought at the Mennonite store last week and did morning chores in a short sleeve shirt and jeans. Ah, Missouri! If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes.

We were laughing today. Last Thursday it was 51F overnight. Friday morning it was -10 in the barn and -35 outside with the windchill. It was abnormally cold and windy until Christmas Day. Now, one week later, it's 58F. The animals are most certainly happy to have that frigid weather gone as are we.

It’s been the same temp wise here, low, high, low, today’s a high day, 59 right now, sunny, clear blue skies. While walking inside after my morning walk I saw I have Irises popping up! I guess that means the crocuses will be next🙃

Yesterday our high was 61! It was beautiful and the chickens were happy. I was followed by a bee while I was walking to my car in the TSC parking lot. I hope these warmer days don't cause a lot of plants and bees to get confused.
But I'm not complaining! The older I get the less I can tolerate the cold. But I can't move south as I hate the humidity more.
