Was looking for someone to put up towel rack, pics and other easy things. Have had trouble finding someone. Looked on CL Only thing I could find was, they wanted $130 for 2 hrs work. It'll never get done if I have to pay that. Don't have much strength in my hands, or I'd do it myself. I'm sure the handymen on CL were Licensed, probably insured. For them I understand the price.

This would be a good business for someone who has retired early and just wants to work a few days a week. I know Cale is planning to do little odd jobs like this when he retires- and he won't charge that much!

My stepson in Dallas makes his living doing "handyman" work. Charges $25/hr, and stays busier than a cranberry merchant. Doesn't advertise, all jobs come word of mouth.
I'd suggest checking around at senior centers for someone looking for some side money, and something to do.

Take a look on Facebook for local groups. Our neighborhood has a group on FB where people ask questions, look for repairmen, babysitters, etc. Mr. LC has helped out several neighbors through this group with small DIY projects.

I found a handyman at HD. Saw his truck & took down the phone number. Gave him a couple small jobs at first. $25.00 and hour & does good work.

Depending on what he can do, I'll pay $25 an hr.
