It has done nothing but rain since I put my garden in in March. The poor plants are soaked. I don't want to cuss the rain because we always need it, but we are just getting too much at a time.

maybe shifting what you grow will help things can you grow rice or celery ?
also, this is one of the original reasons that people built raised planting beds, they have very good drainage as they are higher than the rest of the ground.

I started digging my tomato plants today and putting them in pots. My cucumbers are on the highest ground and might make it. Going to try and move my peppers too. It would probably be a good spot for rice. It looks like a bog.

My garden likes to flood out too. I use raised rows up to about 6 to 8 inches, some are 10. I make them with the tractor, because the garden is so big, I couldn't buy that much lumber. But works pretty good.

I'm having the same problem. The stuff I planted in big pots looks good though.

Mulch, mulch and more mulch to build up the area. I used to have that problem also until I moved to biodynamics/intensive and heavily mulched to build up my planting areas. Now no matter how much it rains nothing gets flooded, but it is designed so that the excess water seeps back slowly into the base of the mounds. Blessings, Kat

My cucumbers seem to like all the rain, at least the vines look good and there are lots of blooms. First time I've grown General Lee but I'm happy with them so far.
