My Lavenders are super friendly, always want to sit on me. They are an experiment I am working on. The others, are Belgian d'Anvers. Group shot, they were chasing down a moth. LOL One of my very friendly Lavender Pullets. She loves sitting on my hand, my Arm.... what ever works. LOL Very friendly, Millie Fleur Belgian d'Anver After 3 years of trying, I have a couple of Quail d'Anver Pullets!! Guess, 3 years is a charm? LOL One of the other Millie Fleur Belgian d'Anvers. Keeping my fingers crossed they are both Pullets. Because the third, for sure is a Rooster. One of the Rooster Lavender project I am working on. Know it doesn't look like it because of the flash... but he has a pink blush to his breast. Then I have a couple of Quails in the brooder in the house, along with the Ameraucana bantams and the Full sized Wheaten Ameraucana's. The Golden Neck d'Uccles are due to start hatching out this Friday, so I will have to move some of the bantams that are in the house, out to the Bantam shed, as I am running out of room. These are the Full sized Wheaten Ameraucanas, starting to get wing feathers.

Wow they are growing fast! Such beautiful little birds... Thanks so much for sharing! ~Mari ETA-so you can tell at that early of an age who is a roo and who is a pullet? Please clue me in! Also, when you say add to the bantam shed-I'm assuming they all run together? If so-do you have much "fighting"? Or maybe not due to their young age? Questions Questions

Thank you so much Mari and Connar.
Yes, at least when the bantams are young, I run them in their own hen house... ok.. sort's hen house, I am using my tack room in the run in shed.
No, no fighting thank goodness. At this age..I can keep adding chicks to the group as they feather out. Need to put some more out with these ones, soon. As the d'Uccles are due to hatch soon.
Who ever had the most bright comb the soonest...normally is a Rooster. As they get older, tail feathers normally get longer and in some breeds, they will have pointed neck feathers, while the hens are more rounded.
Still too early to tell on the Ameraucanas.
