Ok wanting to put a Door on our Cabin but walls are not tall enough for standard Door. On sides it was taller but still couple inches short for Standard Door so we have put siding up and don't want to take it down.
Can have a 5'10" Door put in. I was thinking 32" because of it being short but like 36" getting stuff in and out. If we don't put a Door in will have to come in through Dinning and Kitchen area.
Thoughts??

Raise the house and add enough on the bottom to get your standard door!!!
Problem solved.
You can thank me now or later...

You can cut the bottom of any door and frame, reset the threshold to the height you need. I would use a 36" door, not much difference in cost. I use 32" doors for back doors but I make sure it is a straight shot through the front door, takes 36" to get couches and appliances in....James

I have a small nonstandard sized door going into my root cellar of my new place. What surprises me is not how small the door is, but that they put the doorknob nearly at ankle height too. . .

There are DIY instructions online for how to cut a steel door for what it's worth, never done it myself so can't really say.
The steel they're made out of can be a plenty thin layer.

My rear door is 5' 6". It is my main door and I use it with no problems many times per day. Makes me feel tall.

And how high do you have to reach to get to the knob from the root cellar side? How high would you have to reach if the knob was at standard position?
