After storms again, last night, woke up to heavy smoke in the air, from Canada fires. Hanging so low, thought it looked like fog. I live in SE SD. Some days it burns the eyes and nose. Hope the fires are controlled soon. It must be so scary, for those that are living in the fire areas. It's to get down in the 50's tonight. Weather has been very different, this Spring and Summer.

Two years ago we had unhealthy levels of wildfire smoke for over a month. Any day or two the wind changed was a great blessing and total relief. It was so hard to get anything done outside(and was over hot like this year too...in the 100s a month too soon for normal) and half my garden died from heat and me not taking precautions in time to shield plants. I skipped local events because I didn't want to breathe it for more than quick trips outside. So sorry you are dealing with it and hope it clears up soon for you! We had a close wildfire again this year but the winds were with us,thank goodness, and the days we had were smelly but not stifling. Take care. -hobby-

I'm in west central Wisconsin and can also smell the smoke in the air today. It's the first time I ever remember smelling smoke from fires hundreds of miles away, today was also about the haziest days I have seen.

We're getting smoke from the fires in BC, Canada. Sounds like the whole place is on fire. We're under extreme fire danger here too. Never had such a hot and dry June here in the PNW.

It looks like just about the whole state of WI is under an air quality alert today because of the wildfire smoke coming down to ground level. I know for a number of days now it's been hazy because of the wildfires. And this past weekend, I wondered why our neighbors were constantly grilling or having bonfires - they weren't. It was the smoke smell from the wildfires.
I feel so badly for those who live in the wildfire areas, and hope all the fires are brought under control soon.
